Main Jobs:
-Working in the test plots pulling the corn off the different rows and putting about 10 ears into a bag
-Working in the field test plots and counting the lodged plants down each row
Other
Fall Outside work including working in the test plots doing hand harvesting corn, loading corn into bins, sorting and lifting bags of corn, weeding, staking, walking beans, rouging, data collection that includes walking through fields, field clean up and other field and outdoor seed activities related to crops
Fall Inside work including sorting seed into and out of bins boxes and tubs, assist in packaging/ counting corn by hand and with a machine, sorting seed and seed packets, filling trays with a machine, using hand held scanners, cleaning the lab, packaging seed for shipping, counting seed into tubes for the lab and completing all other duties as they are assigned inside. Provide support for the Monsanto's Safety program by adhering to all safety policies.
* Assist with data collections at off site locations
* Hand harvesting corn on and off site locations
* Collect plant and ear height data from off site locations
* Assist with seed processing in lab setting to send to winter locations
* Assist with seed inventory organization and discard
* Assist with soybean maturity and growth stage notes
