Maintenance Tech

Our client is a local leader in hot dip Galvanizing.

They are looking for a skilled Maintenance Tech. This position is a Temp to Hire position that leads to a full-time Union shop position. With strong work performance and successful completion of 60 working days

Job Duties:

Maintain all mechanical systems in working order

• Daily Walkthroughs and check-ins with equipment operators
• Repair of broken systems that would impede production on all shifts
• General building and property maintenance
• Preventative maintenance of all mechanical systems
  • Gas Fired Boiler and Steam lines
  • Gas fired zinc kettle furnaces
  • Bridge and Monorail crane system
• Maintenance and oversight of stormwater filtration system
  • Inspection and cleaning of Arkal disc filters
  • Inspection and cleaning of post detention canister filter
  • Inspection and cleaning of Purus canister filter columns
  • Assistance with Aquip inspection and maintenance

Build, and maintain racks and gigs used in the galvanizing process

• Build, load test, and inspect racks for safe lifting capacity

Assist with production related issues to insure customer timelines are met-

• Repair damaged material
• Assist with vent/drain holes, lifting points and special gig fabrication
• Assist with thread brushing, hole taping, zinc sticking, assembly of customer material to insure customer deadlines are met

Experience and Skills:

• 1-2 yrs minimum experience in maintenance
• General Mechanical Systems experience
• Welding Experience required

Performs various other duties as requested by management such as flood control, emergency response team member, Safety Committee participant, facility maintenance and other duties that might be needed to insure completion of customer orders.

Pay $16 to $20 DoE
