Construciton Company looking for 8 hard-working, trustworthy, mechanically-inclined labor workers.
The job includes updating cable systems for Telecom companies ( taking previous cables out of the large utility pipes and putting in new cables).
Here are more details:
- Starting 8/29
- 75% of project locations in Chula Vista, 25% in North county (they will designate a meeting spot for commute and include travel time for hours worked)
- Hours are Monday-Friday; 50 hrs/week (7:30am-5:30pm) (this includes travel time to project sites)
- Pay is $13/hour (Plus x1.5 for overtime hours = $19.50)
- Requires Clean DMV
- Position will last until the end of 2016 (potentially until Feb 2017)
This project will run through the end of the year possibly early next year for a SD telecommunications Contractor. The essential duties are working outdoors in the field routing new fiber glass rods through existing 300 foot fiber glass rods. Sticking in new conduit , blowing out existing putting in 1-2 inch micro circuit .Essentially the person will be attaching the microcircuit to the rod , rodding the conduit and pulling that into 1-2 inch ducts.. In addition they will be digging up previous boxes approx. 6 inches in diameter in the ground and replacing them with 12 in boxes. Before they boxes are replaced the holes may need to be cleaned out using a VAC /Trailer which will suck like a air compressor out of the hole to clean it out and prep it for the new box. In addition candidates will be responsible for removal of excess conduit, fiber glass, site clean up,etc. Restoring site to good and proper condition.
