Home Instead Senior Care® Recruitment Manager Job Description   Best Senior Care, Inc. d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care
 
Objective:
The Recruitment Manager is expected to perform a variety of duties for the recruitment of CAREGiversSM. The Recruitment Manager is expected to recruit, screen, and hire a staff of CAREGivers in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:                                                                             
  • Reflect the core values of Best Senior Care, Inc., d.b.a. Home Instead Senior Care, an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise.
  • Answer each employment inquiry in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Develop and implement new recruitment strategies online and within the community.
  • Schedule and conduct applicant interviews in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Following the Home Instead Senior Care Standards; conduct reference checks, criminal background and motor vehicle check and drug screens on all CAREGivers.
  • Create and maintain all employment records including but not limited to I-9 form, W-4 form and all other employment related documents.
  • Ensure all applicant and CAREGiver information is entered in designated software in a timely manner and updated as necessary.
  • Plan and successfully execute all CAREGiver meetings
  • As a Key Player of Best Senior Care, assist in development, execution and analysis of the annual operational plan and participate in strategic planning workshops.
  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, achieve the annual operational plan’s revenues, gross profit and profitability objectives through measured activities based on role and responsibility
  • Manage and be responsible for activities of Human Resource department such as employee recruitment; compliance with Home Instead Franchise Standards, all governmental requirements and required training of CAREGivers to meet Illinois Department of Public Health licensing standards.
  • As a member of the Marketing Committee, participate in planning, budgeting and execution of marketing activities in all regions.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager and Regional Manager to assist in CAREGiver review process; and coordinate recruiting efforts with geographic and specialized skills needs in mind.
  • Monitor compliance for local and federal labor and safety laws including EOE, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with the franchise owner, colleagues, CAREGivers, clients and family members.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries as needed following the consultative sales process
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Travel and conduct Interviews at each Best Senior Care office.
     
    Secondary Responsibilities
  • Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions as needed
  • Perform any and all other functions deemed necessary
  • Attend Health Fairs and Recruitment Drive events
  • Maintain CarePoint data monthly and process all orders
  • Update CAREGiver Service Hours and Years of Service spreadsheets
     
    Critical Numbers:
  • Maintain no more than 60% in CAREGiver turnover
  • Maintain at least 40 CAREGiver Applicants each month
  • Conduct 20 interviews each month
  • Hire 10 CAREGivers each month
     
    Education/Experience Requirements:
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Previous recruitment experience is preferred but not required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
     
    Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the functions performed by the Recruitment staff
     
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Best Senior Care, Inc., d.b.a. Home Instead Senior Care, an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with office standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must have a willingness to learn all aspects of the senior care industry
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the franchise owner, office colleagues, CAREGivers and the community
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have the ability to operate office equipment
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must have the ability to develop, update and follow process and procedure
  • Must have the availability to work evenings or weekends as required
  • Must have the ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
  • Must have the ability to work as a part of a team
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills

  • This position will report to the Operations Manager
