Staffmark is seeking a talented Quotes Clerk responsible for gathering pricing/quote information of medical supplies and equipment.
This position works with the sales and product departments providing quote comparisons and pricing for products. The Quotes Clerk will see and generate competitive pricing for al products and will contact vendors to gain the cost information.
The Quotes Clerk is also responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products.
Responsibilities:
‐ Perform analysis and support pricing initiatives and process changes to ensure consistency of company pricing practices
‐ Timely preparation of responses to Price Quotation requests from regional sales managers/customer service/ and agents.
‐ Backup Customer Service department with phone calls and email support as needed. Must address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution
‐ Review and evaluate price variance requests from sales staff
‐ Formulate and communicate competitive analysis and current trends
‐ Price discrepancy resolution
‐ Evaluate and implement pricing annually based on market price and cost of goods.
‐ Develop detailed reports on cost/price analysis, including recommending price adjustments
‐ Liaison between application engineering and sales support to create accurate product pricing.
‐ Other miscellaneous duties as requested by the Director of Sales.
Essential Skills and Experience:
‐ Knowledge of the Lighting Industry, lamps, ballasts and controls
‐ 1 to 2 years of experience in customer service, sales and/or pricing.
‐ Intermediate skill level in Excel
‐ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
‐ Sense of urgency and team focus
‐ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while setting priorities
‐ Strong organizational skills
‐ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
‐ Flexibility and desire to take on additional responsibilities
‐ Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
‐ Energetic, friendly, outgoing, and proactive personality
‐ Willing to learn and grow with the company
