POSITION PURPOSE -
  • Communicates with shareholders regarding questions about Home Depot’s public equity, and/or questions/issues related to customer service.
  • Responsibilities also include deciding which customer support team is best, coordinating with proper customer support team and ensuring customer/investor receives resolution
  • Assists with the preparation of company presentations to be used with the investor community
  • Assembles supportive data for reporting purposes and organizes it in the prescribed manner; scrutinizes validates the accuracy of the data and investigates issues and anomalies
  • Assists with preparing reports and analytics on stock market performance and economic metrics.
  • Responsible for Daily Market Update sent to Executive Team
  • Researches and analyzes vendor and competitor earnings reports
  • Analyze financial community sentiment, expectations and projections and brief senior management
  • Responsible for seamless execution (planning, coordinating, testing) of conference calls for quarterly earnings and webcast for investor events and institutional conferences
  • Responsibilities also include providing institutional investor data for meetings between THD and Investor Community
  • Manage the Investor Relations website, including content management and opportunities for ongoing enhancements, while maintaining an ongoing relationship with the website provider
  • Communicates and manages relationships with other third party vendors
  • Maintain shareholder contact database, communicate with and schedule investor meeting, and continuously monitor and respond to inquiries received in the Investor Relations inbox/voicemail
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures and workflow within the Investor Relations department
  • Conduct fact finding, as necessary, in support of investor relations related projects including benchmarking THD competitors

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
  • 30% Performs economic and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to sales, gross margin, rate of return, working capital, investment, financial performance, and other financial metrics.
  • 30%Conducts special financial and statistical studies as directed in coordination with other departments in the preparation of statistical studies.
  • 20% Compiles or prepares reports, graphs and charts of developed data.
  • 20% Gathers and correlates basic information using established and defined financial procedures

NATURE AND SCOPE -
  • Position reports to Sr. Manager Investor Relations
  • No direct reports.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 01

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
  • Recent undergraduate with major in Finance or Economics with related internship preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • MS Office experience desired

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
  • Strong initiative and the ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to distinguish the 'big picture' objectives and specific details.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analyses.
  • Understanding of the P&L and other financial statements, as well as a strong proficiency in Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and formatting for executive presentations), and PowerPoint.
