Primary Responsibilities:
Subject Matter Expert on lifecycle of eligibility data and the consumption of that data
Advise consumers on best practice and appropriate use
Analyze and investigate data for new / existing client eligibility requirements to develop eligibility setup design
Positions in this function will conduct and manage analyzing, reviewing, and presenting information on client eligibility to ensure member experience
Implement effective solutions through research and analysis of data
Analyze data to identify potential opportunities, needs, issues, and problems that could impact business results
Lead and manage customer readiness activities
Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
Performs complex conceptual analyses
Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
Assess impact of new / changing Products and provide recommendations for incorporating in existing processes
Demonstrate and apply understanding of Optum and UnitedHealth Group's business (e.g., specific business capabilities, functions, processes and business cycles)
Demonstrate and apply understanding of health care industry trends and their drivers
Demonstrate and apply understanding of applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOX) and UHG policies / standards (e.g., RSA, security)
Demonstrate understanding of the difference between business requirements and technical solutions
Maintain awareness of best practices / approaches related to the business analysis discipline (e.g., Business Analysis Body of Knowledge)
Maintain awareness of best practices / approaches related to quality and productivity (e.g., process improvement, DMAIC, Lean)

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years of Business Analysis experience
Previous Team Lead or Project Lead experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Healthcare Industry experience
Experience in Excel to include pivot tables / formulas, PowerPoint
