Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years IT hardware technician experience.
• Technical/functional knowledge of computer hardware
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong computer literacy
• Results oriented, team oriented, and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• BIOS configuration
• Ability to configure, repair and/or upgrade electronic assets
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in various forms (written, oral or diagram)
• Strong written, verbal, and comprehension communication skills
• Must clear a fit for work physical and hearing base line exam.
• Must clear drug screening
• Must be able to lift at least 50 Lbs.
• Able to use hand truck, pallet jack, various hand tools, etc.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time at IT processing workstation
• Must be able to obey all applicable environmental, quality and safety standards.
• Must be able to troubleshooting, disassembly and assembly.
• Must have communication skills, computer skills, mathematical skills
• Must be able to write and comprehend Basic English.
• Data entry skills required as Asset Tracking portion of job assignment requires 65% data entry
• Work Approaches: routinely interacts with employees within own department and outside the department. Be respectful towards all employees, visitors, and vendors. Background check: No felony convictions in the last 24 months. No felony convictions in the last seven years for any crime involving theft, fraud, burglary, or larceny.

   

Job Description:

• Load and unload assets to production line
• Evaluates electronic assets and determines disposition based on physical/operational condition and working resale cutline
• Performs data erasure via third party software on electronic assets when applicable.
• Configures, upgrades and tests computer hardware and peripherals when applicable.
• Inspects, classifies, evaluates, troubleshoot, disassembles and repairs computer hardware when applicable.
• Evaluates and identifies hardware for specific disposition (Resale, Recycle, Etc...)
• Upgrades products through the addition of new hardware (RAM, HDDs)
• Adjusts, repairs, and replaces worn or defective parts.
• Works with Sales to evaluate the feasibility to repair and/or upgrade assets.
• Data Entry of evaluation and testing results including barcoding with barcode scanner and labeling of assets
• Monitor multiple systems at a time
• Cross trains in all areas within Operations to ensure site flexibility and contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the Operations systems and processes.
• Maintain required production and quality level
• Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping by following established safety procedure

  2nd Shift - 3:00 p.m. Midnight required OT if necessary (hourly $12.75)
