As the Manager of Reporting, you will be responsible for leading a team focused on contractual reporting for the Medicaid contract for the state of New Mexico as well as supporting internal data, reporting and analytics needs. You will be part of the national Business Intelligence team with a matrixed relationship with the New Mexico health plan leadership.  The role also expects communication related to data and reporting needs with the state of New Mexico staff.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements; assesses, interprets and analyzes customer needs and requirements 
Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business
Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience
Identify solutions to non - standard requests and problems
Produce, publish and distribute ad - hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies
Manage a team of analysts supporting the local Medicaid contract
Serve as a member of the plan leadership team and share product knowledge with corporate support teams
Work with minimal guidance
Manage an elite team
Lead complex projects to provide updates and to draw results and conclusions

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Public Health, Business, Finance, or Health Administration or equivalent work experience
Experience gathering requirements from the client / business and documenting them for analysis
Proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience in analysis of business process and workflow and providing an evaluation, benchmark and / or process improvement recommendations
Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally
Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate data
Experience in SQL with relational databases like Oracle, SQL server
Experience managing staff and setting team goals
Experience directing cross - functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Medicaid, specifically Long Term Care
5+ years of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation)
Advanced level of proficiency working with MS Excel including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, lists, statistical functions, etc
5+ years of experience in health care informatics and performing analysis on health data metrics
Experience using Crystal Reports
