Responsibilities:
  • Manages and directs new construction and renovation projects for parts of a large project or all of a small or medium sized project.
  • Partners with Workplace Services senior leadership to create project plans, building specifications and contract terms with third party contractors.
  • Coordinates and disseminates project plans to all members of the project team for all assigned projects.
  • Accountable for adherence to project plan, schedule and budgeted cost for projects.
  • Ensures compliance with project plans, building specifications, and third party contract Terms. Coordinates construction process to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and codes.
  • Partners with facilities planning department to facilitate the creation of drawings and specification details.
  • Reviews preliminary and final construction documents for assigned projects to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Manages day to day operations of assigned projects including leading progress meetings and coordinating the work of multiple vendors/contractors.
    Evaluates construction site after completion for issues and reviews performance requirements of various trades, both in-house and externally.
  • Escalates issues to TJX senior leadership.
  • Develops new construction processes to increase productivity.
  • Performs special projects as assigned or directed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years construction project management experience
  • Knowledge of State building codes, ADA regulations and OSHA laws
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and experience
  • MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project experience
