Primary Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy
Oversee, manage and coordinate the pharmacy operations for home infusion careCoordinate, promote and evaluate the activities of professional personnel providing pharmaceutical care
Work with the DOP / GM and other pharmacists to promote an efficient and team-friendly environment
Provide reports to the Pharmacy Branch General Manager and participate in related committees as required
Provide pharmacotherapy education to team members
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to improve pharmaceutical care
Oversee workflow processes, provides work direction and coordinates the activities of all pharmacists and support personnel including ensuring of appropriate scheduling of personnel to meet customer service, performance and quality assurance objectives
Maintain clinical activity in the management of patients, and function as part of the assigned care team when assigned
Develop and communicate service, performance and quality assurance expectations, and sets goals with staff which are consistent with department and regional goals and objectives; provides feedback and follow up
Interview, select, hire, orient, mentor, and evaluate staff
Monitor and evaluate existing service levels, systems, procedures and practices and recommend appropriate changes or additions as required consistent with the department’s goals and objectives
Assure compliance with all regulatory rules and regulations and policies and procedures and professional practice standards
Support development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to pharmacy operations and professional practice standards and implements department initiatives consistent with program goals and objectives

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


BS in Pharmacy or Pharm

3+ years of pharmacy operations and clinical practice experience in home infusion therapy

Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in state of employment in state of FL

Possess a strong knowledge base in intravenous admixture and clinical aspects of home infusion therapy

1+ year experience leading or overseeing clinical pharmacy staff or projects with excellent supervisory / leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually as well as part of a health care team

2+ years of proven track record communicating professionally with patients, peers, management, and other health-care providers both verbally and in written form

Strong work planning, organizational time management and problem-solving skills
