Two positions available. Positions are at an offsite location in zip 67207.


This position ensures accurate, efficient recording of vehicle and customer information during the sale and provides administrative support to the auctioneer on sale days. The Block Clerk verifies sold vehicle information for accuracy prior to completion of transaction and obtains customer signatures as appropriate. This position may perform upper or lower block duties as outlined below.

Job Responsibilities:
Lower Block duties include:
  • Collect invoices from printer. Verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate bid amount, correct buyer information, etc.
  • Resolve sale priced discrepancies or elevate to supervisor where applicable.
  • Maximize PSI sales - offer post-sale inspection to buyer and coordinate initiation of the PSI process.
  • Process "IF" sales.
  • Obtain buyer's signature and distribute appropriate invoice copies/gate passes for sold vehicles.
Upper Block duties include:
  • Utilize the AS400 system to record lane and Simulcast bid amounts, enter customer data, process all sold units, and verify/enter lights.
  • Work with auctioneer to verify system information accurately represents vehicle. Verify vehicle run order to ensure appropriate vehicle is being keyed and sold.
  • Operate monitor, work with auctioneer to review Simulcast bids.
  • Provide arbitration and other vehicle announcements to support auctioneer.
  • Pick up and distribute bills of sale to the front office, when needed.
  • Notify manager or supervisor of customer issues or concerns or systems issues to ensure speedy resolution and continuation of the sale.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, which may include assisting in other areas of the office as necessary, i.e., processing sales transactions, distribution of seller payments, copying titles or filing bills of sale.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months - 1 year of clerical, office, and/or customer service work experience preferred, including ten-key and computer data entry.
  • Good computer skills
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed during fast-paced sale-day activities.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Ability to lift 1-10 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
