About this job

In this position you will interact with customers by telephone, email, mail or fax to facilitate the Petroleum Division call campaign while maintaining a professional manner. This role will seek to regain customers via outbound telephone calls. Representative will document calls and resolution and forward information to the appropriate location for fulfillment. This will be a work from home assignment, with work hours for this role will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM, Monday thru Friday and an additional four hours on Saturday between 10:00AM and 6:00PM. A company issued laptop computer and cellular phone will be provided.

Essential Job Functions

  • Outbound telephone calls from designated list in a courteous, friendly and professional manner; building rapport with customers.
  • Respond to email, mail or fax inquiries in a timely and professional manner as a representative of Southern States Cooperative, Incorporated.
  • Promote SSC brand, products and services through interaction with customers.
  • Accurately document complaints received by telephone, email, mail or fax in a manner that is consistent with outlined process.
  • Take ownership of all inquiries received, completing appropriate tracking to maintain accurate data for reporting purposes.
  • Perform all other job functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a customer service position call center or equivalent

Knowledge of Southern States products and the propane industry a plus

 Technology: Must have high speed internet access at home

  • Ability to easily maneuver among multiple websites, programs and computer screens
  • Self-motivated and possess the ability to work alone effectively
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours as defined by management and beyond if needed
  • Ability to understand and speak the English language fluently
