Summary:

This position serves as a champion and customer advocate for Key and Target Accounts. The Account Planner proactively aligns internal resources within Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure success and growth of specialized accounts. This position is actively involved in the full sales life cycle.

Essential Job Functions:

•Account management for several Account Executives-this includes the ability to manage all internal aspects of AE’s accounts from start to finish. Examples include building a client in CRM to inputting orders in Strata View 32, to working with internal TWC departments to create schedules and book an order through the system.
•Proactively reviews client schedules/performance and provides recommendations for enhancements (post campaign management).
•Develop strategies to meet client’s current campaign needs utilizing TWC’s catalog of product offerings and the effective use of scheduling
•Manages schedule development including checking inventory availability and iterative development
•Monitors campaign for any needed changes (and related make goods) by liaising with AE, Ops and client.
•Exercises judgment to manage make-goods and pre-emptions on assigned AE’s orders on a daily basis to ensure that all revenue is being added back in as quickly as possible.
•Analyze and utilize inventory reports to aid in the development of effective, executable proposals and works as a liaison between the Pricing and Planning Manager on high profile programming avails.
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload based on sales team’s needs and internal deadlines
•Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external TWC customers on a daily basis.

Job Requirements:
•Prior experience in Media Sales or as a Media Buyer is preferred
•Should have some agency planning experience or be analytical-minded and want to learn
•Ability to line up psychographics of client’s customer with various cable network programming
•Needs to have the ability to decipher between client needs, for example, ‘branding’ campaigns VS ‘call to action’ and the difference between those schedules
•Familiar with writing rationales and/or agency POVs (“point of views”)
•Clear knowledge of media terms as well as media formulas & calculation- Needs to know how to estimate ratings
•Ability to back-up work and have good logic to creating schedules
•Be familiar with Strata software and Nielsen
•Team-oriented, and ability to work with multiple personalities
•Cooperative and helpful outlook
•Detail-oriented
•Needs to be able to adapt to change well, multi task well and prioritize tasks well
•Experience in computer software including MS Office and Spreadsheets at a minimum is required; any experience in software similar to our sales support packages preferred.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
•Proven track record writing effective reports and business correspondence
•Experience effectively communicating with Sales and Operations team members.
•Experience communicating and interacting with external clients.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
