The Triage Nurse is supporting the 24/7 Call Center for members for the Health Plan in addition to patients or new patients. The Triage Nurse is taking calls on a large perspective of health conditions anywhere from a fever to chest pains, specialty and non-specialty. Typically the nurses take 70% of their calls out of queue where they are returning a patients call. The other 30% are live patient transfers from the reception desk that need more immediate attention. On average they will take about 4 calls per hour and an average call is 12-14 minutes.
