Floral Delivery Driver Customer Service - Part-time

If you have a passion for flowers, experience within the industry as well as delivering Incredible Customer Service then a Floral Delivery Driver Customer Service position could be the position for you. In this role, you will provide incredible customer service and promote department and store sales by offering customers the convenience of home delivery of Wegmans floral arrangements. This would also include business deliveries and deliveries for special events. This position includes assisting with other daily floral department responsibilities during times when deliveries are not needed. This would also include demonstrating the Who We Are values while representing Wegmans both inside and outside our stores. You would work closely with designers and team members to ensure customer requests are being met, special events run smoothly and Wegmans Signature design elements are reflected throughout the department and on the road.

• Builds relationships with customers including making customers a priority while driving safely to all scheduled delivery locations
• Maintains two-way communication with department manger and team members while working independently within the store’s delivery zone
• Complies with Wegmans Policies and Work Rules, as well as, federal and state laws (Wegmans driving policy, attendance, uniform, storages etc.)
• Assist with new programs and products, creating excitement in the department amongst both customers and employees and sharing knowledge based service with the team
• Handling any problems that arise throughout the department, including any concerns with product, etc.
• Treats co-workers and customers with caring and respect while supporting the Who We Are Values
• Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Wegmans Floral delivery Van
• Gives incredible service to customers, using resources to go above and beyond customers’ expectations
• Prioritizes assignments and completes them efficiently

Qualifications

What will set me apart from other candidates:

• Ideal candidates are 25 year of age or older and/or have at least 3 years driving experience
• Familiarity with Syracuse area
• Knowledge of, passion for and experience working with various flowers
• Understanding of floral industry trends
• Retail florist experience
• Floral arrangement/ design experience

Work environment:

• Work involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching and carrying
• Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 1 – 10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally
• May be exposed to various allergens, cold temperatures and exposure to various weather conditions
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours along
• Repetitive driving required

Other:

• Employment at Wegmans may be contingent upon applicants passing a physical, drug screen and/or criminal background check
• This position also requires driving a Wegmans Delivery vehicle. Candidates must submit a Driver's Abstract & Criminal Background Check. Additionally, anyone driving a non-CDL type company vehicle (i.e. box van or stake body truck) may be subject to evidence of satisfactory completion of a recognized driver training program

Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.

Days/Hours Requirement: Candidate should be available 8am-4pm daily, including weekends.
