Job Description:

Organize, account for and facilitate the movement of vehicles to, from and within assigned quadrant staging area in support of auction operations. This position is also responsible for the locating, identifying, moving, and parking of vehicles in assigned areas in a safe, efficient and effective manner and in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

·Conduct periodic scanning of vehicles within quadrant to verify assigned inventory.

·Verify vehicles are properly identified (stickers affixed, markings in place).

·Ensure vehicles are placed in proper order for sale.

·Tag and coordinate movement of disabled vehicles from staging area.

·Communicate with other units in auction process to ensure coordinated staging effort.

·Enter vehicle related data to computer system.

·Monitor vehicle movement thorough all processing within assigned quadrant.

·Observe job related safety and health procedures.

·Remove license plates from vehicles delivered to receiving lot and write plate numbers on driver's door window. Forward plates to appropriate auction personnel.

·Locate and drive vehicles scheduled for shipping to the designated shipping area.

·Move vehicles from inspection area to designated areas.

·Work with the Sales department to have cars properly lined up for each Wednesday sale.

·Locate and bring up vehicles to the front office area to be picked up by our customers.

·Assist other departments with pulling cars from various locations around the lot as well as to and from the auxiliary Lot.

·Assist with lease, consignment, sales and re-run stickers to assure that they are properly affixed to vehicles.

·Assist with removal of unnecessary identification from vehicles and write current vehicle information on the windshield. Relocate and park vehicles as directed.

·Assist other employees and customers who may be unfamiliar with lot operations and lot practices.

·Assist with jump-starting vehicles.

·Review inventory management tool daily to insure readiness score is above 90%

·Handle all PDI accounts

·Work with supervisor on all requirements and inventory of "recalls"

·Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., direct traffic flow during/after sales, organize/stage sale cars after the sale, etc.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Auction and/or driving experience helpful.
  • Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to provide good customer service and muti-task.
  • Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles.
  • Ability to walk long distances. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb and sit for periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 1-30 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
