The Transportation Operations team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area.

This team works in the Network Operationss Center. They control the fulfillment process from when the order is submitted online to when the package is delivered. The team interfaces a lot with supply chain, transportation, and operations teams. This group specializes in solving issues around not having enough trucks/drivers and figuring how to get packages delivered on time when there is a problem.

Responsibilities

- Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)

- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in transportation operations.

- Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

- Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.

- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree

- Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Team lead, or management experience

- Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills (vlookup, pivot table, macros)

Schedule: Must have open availability 7 days a week 7:30am - 5:30pm.

** There will also be overtime- option to pick up 10-15 hours of OT each week. For 3 weeks in December (following Black Friday) employees will likely work up to hours of mandatory overtime - will potentially work 6, 10 hours shifts during this peak season
