This position is responsible for end-to-end Client Implementation of pharmacy benefits within OptumRx. In this role you will be the primary client point person for all aspects of their implementation and additionally interact with multiple layers of OptumRx, IT, client vendors and Operations teams to ensure implementations are completed on time and within scope. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:In conjunction with Client Management SAE and Sales, verify what was in the proposal for the client sales with the Notice of Sale hand off meeting, working with the client and vendors, then develop and execute pharmacy implementation approach, project plan, statue reporting and timeline.Drive the client project for OptumRx and Operations teams to manage and prioritize customer needs and implement pharmacy benefit solutions. Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure superior customer on-boarding experience and minimal member disruption. Lead the Optum Rx Client Management, IT and Operations teams to ensure the RX pharmacy portion of the implementation process is executed accurately and on time. This includes reviewing plan for accuracy, presenting benefit detail in a customer meeting with the Optum Rx and arranging for customer sign-off,  requesting IT components within the organization and across Optum and UHG partners, coordinating file transfers from previous vendors (ORTF, Prior Authorizations, Claims History Files, and Accumulation totals), running the core team within ORX to support the new customers (teams include: PA, Benefits, Customer Service, Clinical, Specialty Pharmacy), confirm and ensure for accuracy Customer Service Applications and benefit build set up for new customers and develop and coordinate any customer, member, or pharmacy communications.
 
Primary Responsibilities: 

Manage the entire client on-boarding project for implementation, main contact for the client
Conduct the client benefit discussions with all parties and ensure client sign-off for their benefit intent forms
Coordinate efforts with internal departments for the creation of formulary, specialty products and  pharmacy networks
Coordinate formulary / specialty disruption analysis to impacted membership
Work with Operations, IT and Functional leaders to proactively identify implementation issues and drive their resolution
Develop and present presentations for new business customer finalist presentations with Sales
Facilitate meetings at various levels of the organization, including management weekly reviews 
Monitor, track and report implementation status and performance, internally and the client 
Identify implementation risks, implement a mitigation / action plan and drive improved outcomes, communicate to senior leadership
Manages the implementation of pharmacy benefit plans for all direct business market types
Ensure accuracy of plan updates and missed deliverables from all teams
Manage pre-implementation audits with the audit department and the client
20-25% travel

Requirements


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in the pharmacy benefit management industry or 5+ of medical benefit implementation experience
5+ years of experience in a client facing role
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Experience with implementation and/or managing pharmacy or medical benefits for large case clients from national markets
High school diploma or GED  
Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management Certification
Proficient with MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
