As a Sr IT Security Analyst, you would support information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems. Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data. Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed. Works with less structured, more complex issues. Serves as a resource to others.Support information security policies, standards and procedures to secure and protect data residing on systems. Work directly with user departments to implement procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data. Generally work is directed by senior analysts or prescribed by internal process and procedures. Works with complex issues and is able to clearly communicate information for additional investigation.

Work in a team environment to help identify and report cyber security indicators of compromise from internal systems.  Investigate alerts and alarms to generate incidents of interest for investigation, make the determination for escalation into team investigations and provide collaboration for ultimate remediation.

Will work in the Cyber Defense Security Operations Center as an data analyst, on a set (5x8 day, 4x10 late evening, 4x10 overnight, 3x12 weekend days (4 flex hours) or 3x12 weekend overnights (4 flex hours)) shift.

Primary Responsibilities:

Processing of Requests
Support of Entitlement Reviews and remediation of exceptions
Participation in Quality Reviews
Understand and enforce General Computing Controls
Support the Develop and Maintenance of Internal Procedure Documentation
Identify security administration deficiencies, recommend improvements, and assist to implement corrective action
Execution of month end reporting
Secondary On-call responsibilities when assigned
Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
 

Requirements

Requirements:

HS diploma/GED
2+ years of equivalent experience in an IT field
2+ years of equivalent experience in cyber security experience
Experience with Microsoft Office for Data Analysis
Assets:

Experience using enterprise SIEM technologies
Experience using SQL queries (e.g. Select Statements)
Security certifications highly desired (e.g. CCNA, CEH, Security+)
Experience with case management or incident management products and procedures
Technical knowledge of networking, security controls (IPS/IDS, Firewall, Endpoint Protection, etc) and information security concepts.
Knowledge of trouble isolation, log analysis, event correlation, and data analysis
