Job Description: This is a high level consistent-typing data-entry production environment which will involve measurable productivity requirements. This is NOT a Call Center job

  • Collecting and entering patient demographics, payer information and therapy information for new patients referred to the Specialty Pharmacy
  • Make periodic outbound calls as required to obtain information for entry of demographics
  • Interact with referral sources to initiate the new referral process. Will be communicating with internal and external customers, such as physician offices or treatment centers and various departments within the Company
  • Assist with the responsibility of training of new/seasonal staff for the Enrollment Coordinator Position in the Specialty Customer Care Department and mentor these employees until their introductory periods are successfully completed
  • May also participate as an auditor in quality initiatives, including continuous quality improvement, within the department

Qualifications:

  • Prior high-production data-entry experience & able to type 11,000 key strokes per min or type 55 wpm NO EXCEPTION
  • Health care/pharmacy knowledge or experience is desired, but not required.
  • Must have basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook required. and, must be comfortable working with multiple computer applications simultaneously
  • Previous phone experience with customers helpful (even though his is NOT a phone-centric job and NOT a customer service job)
  • Experience communicating effectively (both verbally and in writing)
  • Experience dealing effectively with difficult customers
  • Basic math skills required
  • Reasoning ability: Able to collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and solve problems
  • Ability to gain resource information from others and to identify potential problems is essential
  • Must be able to read and interpret

Hours:

  • 40 Hrs./Week
  • Flexible to work any shift between the hours of 6am & 6pm
