Clinical RN II

This nurse will be responsible triaging phone calls, reviewing patients records and test results and coordinating next treatment steps with the physician. They will also be communicating test results and treatment plans to the patients mostly over the phone and sometimes in person. They will be using their clinical judgment to communicate effectively with both patients and physicians. They will use EPIC on a daily basis to review records and for documentation.

This person will start majority of the time in a Triage RN role and then move to a team nurse where they are tied to selected physicians and their patients to coordinate and manage treatment and care. Typically they start in the Triage role to gain their bearings and move into the team role on average 3-4 months into the role.

Face to face with patients 10% of the time. Face to face with physicians 50% of the time.
