Warehouse / Sales Support Manager - Somerset, NJ

The H.U.S. Strategic Marketing Inc. Warehouse / Sales Support Manager will oversee daily warehouse activity and supports the sales/merchandising office on behalf of Brown-Forman Corporation, a beverage alcohol company.  This role is primarily warehouse based.  There is rare work outside assisting with event execution.  This is a full-time permanent role with benefits; generally hours of work will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Specific Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Receive, sort, and store shipped Point-of-sale (POS) items such as:  t-shirts, posters, cardboard displays, lanyards, glasses, etc. in a 4,000 square foot warehouse. 
  • Pick, pack, kit and ship POS items, as required by field staff.
  • Operate and maintain the engraving machines and coordinate the logistics of getting engraved products to sampling/tasting events.
  • Track inventory using Excel spreadsheets and maintain an accurate system which others can easily understand.
  • Maintain and track personal expense reporting and trackers for market activities.
  • Coordinate with Program Training Manager and State Manager for assessing and fulfilling merchandising requirements for POS for key accounts.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as a manual lift/pump truck.
  • Develop, adhere and enforce safety procedures and protocols at all times. The Warehouse Sales Support Manager must wear steel-toed shoes, at all times, while in the warehouse.

Communication and Professionalism

  • Consistently demonstrate professional behavior as outlined in the HUS Code of Conduct and from Brown-Forman Corporate directives.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and be able to support and explain reasoning behind decisions.
  • Communicate effectively concerning all aspects of warehouse management to all stakeholders.
  • Communicate with colleagues and clients who will order the products, and arrange for the receiving at the warehouse.
  • Communicate with managers and partners to ensure all expectations are aligned, programs executed and resources are used effectively.
  • Meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Assist and support coworkers, work cooperatively in groups, and actively resolve conflicts through tact, consideration and in a spirit of teamwork.

Event Execution

  • Assist in the planning, and execution of trade events.
  • Understand and communicate the Brown-Forman brand at program events within the respective market.
  • Drive a company provided vehicle on occasion to deliver POS to Key Account Representatives and others during the high-season (October - December).
  • On some occasions, evening & weekend work will be required.

Relationships

  • Report to the Managing Director, Hive US who is located outside of New Jersey.
  • Directly accountable to the Program Training Manager and the State Manager for Brown-Forman, located in New Jersey.
  • Communicate and collaborate daily with seven Key Account Representatives throughout New Jersey.
  • Communicate and collaborate occasionally with head office staff (Finance, HR) located in Toronto, Canada.

Qualifications

  • College Degree preferred, but not required. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license without restrictions and a clean driving record.
  • Age 25 years or older to be covered by our driver's insurance.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds regularly, independently and without assistance.
  • Strong English language communication skills in reading, writing and speaking.
  • Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience working independently and without direct supervision.
  • Previous experience communicating with a team.
  • Previous experience managing a warehouse is ideal.
