Specimen Transporter

Compensation: Starting @ $13.00

Duration : Temporary - Direct Hire with Company

Shift: 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) & 3rd (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) - rotating weekends will be included.

Overall, the Specimen Transporter is responsible for movement from one area of the facility to another. Position requires attention to detail, a commitment to the highest levels of patient service and dependability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• ?Use laboratory computer to verify specimen receipt, access test results, and look up other information.
• Verify specimen receipt.
• Communicate and document essential information accurately and timely to appropriate personnel.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulations.
• Transport specimens throughout hospital to designated locations at a productive pace
• Perform work free of errors
• Other related duties & responsibilities.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 1 - 2 years in a fast paced environment such as; retail, hospitatlity or food service is preferred.
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of computers
• Work independently and productively in a fast pace environment
• Must be a team player and possess a good attitude

• Must be a non-smoker/nicotine free
• Have a flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends or holidays as needed
