Primary Responsibilities:

Planning, managing and executing critical technology initiatives leveraging Optum big data platform, enterprise service layer and cloud hosted applications
Driving effective alignment of technology initiatives to support business and IT strategies
Driving innovation and creative solutions to business and technical challenges on an ongoing basis
Hiring, coaching and supporting Agile software development teams
Installation and delivery of application software using an Agile development lifecycle
Participating in the creation of technology roadmaps
Provide technical ownership for applications and / or technology products
Continue the advancement of leveraging Agile Processes, Acceptance Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration / Deployment
Creation and management of staffing plans and associated budgets
Building collaborative relationships with business partners, product managers and IT partners
Strategic organizational planning and resource capacity planning for programs and / or products
Delivering solutions to meet critical business priorities

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated success building robust, flexible technology solutions to meet business objectives - around big data, cloud or service layer transformation
15+ years of experience leading the execution of application development initiatives
15+ years of experience leading and managing a team of software development professionals
5+ years of experience successfully delivering $10M+ initiatives and software products
Experience and leading teams in agile methodology transformation
Extensive experience building and managing teams on and offshore, and FTE and contractor teams
Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
History of managing Scrum work with the Rally tool
Experience with ATDD and XP
Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
Healthcare or consumer - facing industry experience
