Senior OpenShift Support Engineer - Multiple Locations

Individual will be accountable for engineering and support within the Platform as a Service (PaaS) organization. They will primarily be working with Red Hat OpenShift.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Working with the Red Hat OpenShift platform
Operational support of the infrastructure environment
Work with vendors on high priority issues
Rotational 24x7 on call support
Define technical infrastructure environment for OSE platform
Define and document standards and guidelines
Develop and automate repeatable tasks
Consult with development users; determine requirements and recommend solutions
Assists in development of systems and procedures affecting OSE, design and maintenance
Participate in product evaluations, design review session, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development products
Performance and Tuning of infrastructure components
Review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
Document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
Identify, clarify, and resolve project activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed
Review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines
Provide status reports and demonstrations to management
Conduct interviews for recruitment of full-time and consulting positions as required
Assisting with communication interfaces/integration to associated systems
Upholds enterprise policy guidelines and recommends new and improved guidelines
Partner with architects to design and engineer solutions for customers
Work with vendor on new features or enhancements

 Required Qualifications:


Hands on experience with Red Hat OpenShift OR professional experience supporting Middleware technologies, such as JBOSS or Websphere
Professional experience with UNIX and / or Windows
Willing and able to work in a rotational 24x7 on call support environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Healthcare Industry experience
Experience with Linux
Java or equivalent programming experience
Experience working with a Cloud-based environment
