Our office is located in Chapel Hill near the Eastgate Shopping Center. We are seeking an Office Assistant for immediate hire for the following job responsibilities:
- Speaking with clients, potential clients, and their families in a professional, courteous, and empathetic manner.
- Assistance coordinating schedules between clients and our family of CAREGivers.
- Acting as a welcoming receptionist by greeting and helping clients, potential CAREGivers, and visitors that walk into our office.
- Utilizing email, electronic calendars, instant messaging, Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Products, and other software to efficiently handle administrative tasks associated with managing busy office environment.
- Taking the initiative to create a professional, presentable and warm office environment.
- Properly entering information in our operations system.
- Managing the schedules of several staff.
- Following set procedures for handling different situations which arise.
- Multitasking in a busy office environment.
- Running errands as needed. This may include without limitation post office trips, bank trips, lunch pickups, shopping trips, and trips to introduce CAREGivers.
- Maintaining attention to detail for our important client matters.
- Reporting client and business concerns to appropriate supervisor.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Assisting with holiday marketing efforts and events.
The ideal candidate will have a tremendous phone disposition, be a self starter, flexible in a variety of different work domains, able to learn quickly, and will have a working knowledge of the home care industry. All candidates must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of customer service experience. The position is expected, assuming continued growth of the business, to prepare the person for additional responsibilities and growth.
Initial hours will vary between 15-30 hrs weekly with a strong opportunity for growth. Additional on-call responsibilities may be given depending upon capability and will be compensated in a varying manner.
Preference will be given to the following individuals: (1) Individuals with a strong personal connection to CAREGiving; (2) Individuals with previous office experience.
