Job Overview:

This role will provide business management leadership, analysis, oversight and discipline across our distribution center at both the tactical and strategic level. Will direct all aspects of a multi-functional distribution operation and implement an integrated performance and quality improvement system that will improve effectiveness, enhance efficiency, increase cost effectiveness, and ensure high customer satisfaction. This will include leading the execution of flow of goods to Stores and Customers.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide leadership and support to facility executive team and ensure Distribution policies and procedures are communicated and executed consistently.
  • Responsibility for the financial, operational, safety and service performance of the distribution center.
  • Responsibilities include hiring strategy, budget development and overall project management.
  • Provide strategic leadership to develop, coach, and mentor direct reports toward individual growth and performance excellence.
  • Serve as the liaison with Stores on building related issues.
  • Maintain customer service compliance standards.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and excellent safety processes.
  • Develop a recognition program that creates an employees 'count' mentality Manage staff planning and labor initiatives towards fully utilizing associates' capabilities, while maintaining fair and equitable employment practices. Support ongoing corporate programs and initiatives. (Six Sigma, Partners In Time, Succession Planning, etc.)

Skill Summary:
  • Bachelor's degree in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • In depth knowledge distribution operations, including; experience with high transaction operations and excellent skill in areas of supply chain logistics, and inventory management, with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Accountability for an entire distribution facility.
  • Effective decision making ability in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to stay ahead of the curve by finding new ways to satisfy customers.
  • High-level understanding of Six Sigma process improvement methodology.
  • Proven strategic leadership skills including leading a team with a clear vision and strategy, results-orientation, change catalyst, and developing people.
