OVERVIEW:
The Central Store Operations Process Improvement Analyst will support the Process Improvement Manager in the analysis of Store activities and resources, influencing Merchants, Asset Protection, Shortage Control, Staffing, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Facilities Management and various other business partners in their interaction with, and contribution to Store Operations’ programs. The Central Store Operations Process Improvement Analyst has responsibility for administrative duties, communication vehicles, and various operational projects and reports. Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Understand and articulate merchandise movement processes to receipt processing, placement, pricing and signing and reverse logistics.
  • Ability to analyze the results of those processes and ensure that they are performed productively; look for ways to simplify or improve processes.
  • Seek partnership and solicit feedback within the central organization, region, district and store level to ensure understanding of processes, suggest improvements to existing practices, and execute effectively.
  • Develop communication directives as well as best practices by role and responsibility to support stores nationally; update documents regularly as needed. Look for opportunities to streamline existing communication vehicles.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create and monitor a timing and action for operational projects to include fixture management, GOBs and new store openings; support field managers in execution and budget management.
  • Follows shortage programs and procedures
  • Perform these functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the Supervisor
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; store experience beneficial.

Communication Skills:

Effective written and verbal skills, ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety
Effective written and verbal skills, ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and process and procedure manuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Able to use a calculator.

Reasoning Ability:

Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. May occasionally be required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. May have to reach above eye level. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other skills:

Effective communicator both verbally and written with confidence to follow up as required. Strong analytic skills with an eye for detail and use of critical thinking skills in decision making. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Computer skills: MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Publisher required and Visio experience beneficial; Apple Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience beneficial. Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team. Must possess a strong sense of urgency. Should be comfortable with the use of computers and frequent use of RF equipment

Work Hours

Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may include day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays. Ability to travel (approximately 25% of the time).
