Position-Facilities Mainteance Tech

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings to insure functioning within specifications, office moves, conference setups and assisting with repairs and modifications.

Maintenance And Repair Duties
  • Performs routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.
  • Assists in equipment and building repair and modification and ensures continual functioning and maintenance.
  • Greases, oils, cleans, adjusts, measures, and calibrates equipment for preventive maintenance purposes.
  • Demonstrates skill in the operation and care of all hand and power tools associated with all maintenance systems.
  • Maintains tool and parts control in assigned areas.
  • Keeps equipment functioning within manufactures specifications.
  • Paints, patches and performs other related building main¬tenance duties.
  • Measures and lays out piping, conduit, or other system processes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of electricity.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of basic plumbing in performing routine repairs and drain clearing.
  • Miscellaneous Duties



  • Documents repairs and activities in appropriate logs in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participates in team decision making, and develops team problem solving and communication skills.
  • Follows all safety procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Other Duties And Responsibilities

  • Works with maintenance team in sharing and providing knowledge and information, solving problems, and cooperating on projects.
  • Works with company personnel in a courteous, efficient manner while performing all duties and tasks.
  • Works with vendors/contractors in a courteous, efficient manner while performing duties and tasks.
  • Works with supervisor to review problems and suggestions.
  • Job Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY:



  • Working knowledge of electricity.
  • Working knowledge of soldering and pipe fitting.
  • Effective mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective math skills.
  • Effective manual dexterity and eye hand coordination.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work at elevated heights, on ladder and lift platform.
  • Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience



  • Two (2) years of maintenance/facilities related experience.
