Position Qualifications:

* We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.

* You'll also need a current RN license in our state.

* Basic life support training should be completed in 90 days with advanced training required at certain intervals.

Current Incentives:

*Sign-On Bonus: ADNs 2+ years exp. $5,000, 10+ years exp. $7,500

Job Knowledge:

* Demonstrates technical and professional knowledge to orchestrate safe care to both unstable patients and patients not routinely in care mix of unit.

* Independently responds to emergency situations with contagious calmness.

* Utilizes professional literature to implement evidence based practice in decision making..

Essential Function 1: Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal health, healing or dignified end of life.

Productivity:

* Manages heavy workload independently.

* Work is accurate and thorough, vigilant to hospital and unit standards and is aware of needs of other staff and offers assistance (without being asked).

* Attentive presence in identifying problem prone or high risk areas of patient care and takes responsibility for problem solving and patient advocacy.

* Utilizes downtime constructively (shares knowledge with peers) through trustworthy collaboration.

* Consistently advances the nursing profession by sharing information with co-workers taking into consideration level of expertise, learning style and background.

* Draws from a working knowledge base and other appropriate resources to achieve positive learning outcomes.

Essential Function 2: Meets the educational needs of co-workers and patient/family, utilizing principles of teaching/and continuous learning.

* Consistently starts a comprehensive plan for teaching/learning experiences for patient/family upon admission to optimize staff/patient time utilization.

* Documents teaching and response from patients and families and follow-ups on learning needs.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.

Licensure: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.

Experience: None.

Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period. Must have a current ACLS card or complete an ACLS course within six months of hire date.

Other: Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment Used: Unit Specific
