Summary

The eCommerce Content Assistant role supports the online and mobile product / inspiration content and visual presentation strategy that differentiates Jo-Ann brand from the competition and provides a best-in-class experience. This role initiates the content plans determined by the overall strategic initiatives, in order to drive shopper conversion and increase sales, customer engagement and support an omni-channel shopping experience. This person is aware of digital best practices and applies them when optimizing for the best customer experience.

Scope

* Pulls and recaps weekly reporting from Google Analytics. Assist manager with ongoing weekly creative brief turn-in, coordinates with cross-functional business partners to collect details and is responsible for updating creative briefs when changes are needed. Responsible for the setup and execution of weekly site banners and any other ad hoc site content needs. Basic HTML skills are needed.

* Partners with Brand Content team to upload and ensure that projects and videos are set-up accurately and maintained appropriately. Reviews and approves all product content to ensure that it adheres to web standards and guidelines.

* Partners with Content Planners to execute and maintain category and product attribute updates through product management tool. Creates shoppable content for featured projects and videos. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive SEO improvements through enhancing product attributes.

* Reviews all customer reviews and partners with business teams to address customer feedback. Performs QA on the site to ensure an error-free and optimal customer experience; resolve issues or partner to resolve.

* Keeps current with the latest eCommerce trends and technology to keep the site at the forefront and ahead of competition.

* Supports content manager with special projects on an as-needed basis.

Education Requirements

* Minimum: Bachelor's degree (Major - Merchandising, Business, Marketing, Communication).

Experience

* Minimum: 0-3 years of retail experience in eCommerce, Omni-Channel, Merchandising or Marketing.

Other Skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Google Docs. Basic Photoshop Skills, basic HTML knowledge is a plus. Previous eCommerce content / platform management and / or PIM experience is a plus.
