Production Designer

Summary

The Production Designer role is responsible for the concept creation, design, managing design and production of the Jo-Ann advertising collateral including the invention of original artwork, page layout and final release-ready artwork for multiple advertising channels (print, on-line, tablet, mobile, etc.). Maintain brand integrity while ensuring accurate, timely and efficient job execution by organizing information and keeping others informed.

Scope Concept creation, design, managing design, creative content including supporting style guides, libraries and tool kits to produce final design layouts for multiple advertising channels (print, desktop, tablet, mobile, etc.), while maintaining job specifications and brand integrity troubleshooting as needed. Accurately preflight and release all jobs to all channels. Accurate barcode creation and testing for all Marketing coupons. Maintain marketing asset management solution (upload, purge, metadata, distribute, etc). Support all advertising channels and workflows as needed (including digital). Image processing including retouch, clip and color correction as assigned. Education Requirements Minimum: Associate degree in related field. Preferred: BFA in Design or related field. Experience Minimum: 4-5 years experience. Demonstrated ability and work portfolio required. Preferred: Retail experience a plus. Other Skills Thorough understanding & technical knowledge of Adobe CC Suite, Mac OSX and hardware, Asset Management, PDF Workflow. Working knowledge MS Office software required.
