About this job

The newly renovated historic Granville Inn is seeking service-minded culinary superstars to join our team as a professional and experienced Cook. Candidates must have flexible availability to include weekends and holidays. A minimum of one year of experience as a Line Cook in a sophisticated banquet/ restaurant kitchen is required.
 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and cooks food as directed by the Chefs.
    • Serves items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
    • Maintains an organized, and sanitary work station
    • Adheres to company grooming policies.
    • Assists co-worked with needed prep.
    • Assist with stocking deliveries and ensures all product is properly labeled, dated and stored.
    • Aids and assist other areas of the kitchen as needed.
    • Sets up, maintains, breaks down and cleans any dirty work stations.
    • Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
    • Covers, dates and properly stores all leftover products that are re-usable.
    • Assists with other duties as assigned by the Chef and sous chefs.
    • Ensures station is properly clean and closed at the end of shift.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Basic Food Safety & Sanitation Knowledge.
  • Culinary awareness with regards to flavor profiles and presentation.
  • Organizational skills and Ability to Multi-task.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to Multi-task.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • 1-2 Years culinary experience preferred
  • Recently Culinary school graduates encouraged
