The Manufacturing Engineering Intern for the Legacy / Indicators Team at UTC Aerospace Systems in Vergennes, VT is responsible for the following activities:
* Assist team Manufacturing Engineer in daily activities, including:
* Revisions to manufacturing documents
* Collecting and analyzing turnbacks within the manufacturing cell
* Performing Relentless Root Cause Analysis for nonconforming material identified in production.
* Support the transition of manufacturing processes from the Vergennes facility to external resources.
* Implement Lean manufacturing principles in the manufacturing processes within the cell
* Adheres to Company, Customer and Regulatory requirements
* Performs tasks and activities in various manufacturing and office environments throughout the facility in support of assigned responsibilities Qualifications Required Qualifications:
* Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Problem-solving mentality
* Works effectively within a team environment
* Shows willingness to learn and accountability by taking ownership
* Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder
The ideal candidate will have:
* CAD experience
* Basic understanding of manufacturing principles in electrical and mechanical assembly
* Interest in developing the ability to apply lean principles
MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
* College student in pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters Degree
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Per UTC Internship Program requirements, student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher Education
A minimum of two (2) years progress towards BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
