What You Could Be Doing:
* Conducting performance tests and stress analyses
* Creating layouts, sketches, and blueprints
* Application of research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
* Building finite element models
* Determining mission life for engines in commercial and military engines
* Design of electrical components and equipment
* Multidisciplinary research and collaboration with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software.
* Optimize designs for cost, weight, and performance
* Develop process and methodology improvements
* Monitor instrumented rig and engine tests to collect data to validate/calibrate analytical results
* Research, design, and development in such areas as mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, thermodynamic, or heat transfer for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Engineering Organizations: Cold Section, Global Services, Hot Section, Materials and Processes, Engine Center, Systems Analysis and Aerodynamics, Systems Design and Component Integration, Systems Engineering and Validation
Engineering Focus Areas: Aero, Drafting and Design, Materials, Mechanical, Product Definition, Project, Software, Structural, Systems, Test and Validation
Qualifications
* Previous Engineering internships preferred
* Firm grasp of engineering fundamentals

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
* 3.0 GPA minimum required
