About this job

Under general supervision, coordinates all details in regarding meeting room bookings. Including, but not limited to catering services, breaks, set up, break down of meeting rooms and customer requests.

* Provides courteous guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests.

* Develops and maintains relationships with customer/guest the day of meeting.

* Coordinates food, beverage, and any other services as requested by the meeting customer/guest; assures that all requirements are communicated and completed to the guests' satisfaction.

* Effectively communicates meeting room needs to necessary departments and team members.

* Set - up and break down meeting rooms according to Banquet Event Order Sheets.

* Assists with cleaning and preparation of public space while meetings are taking place.

* Maintains, cleans and organizes meeting room storage space and prep areas, including general maintenance of all meeting room equipment including AV.

* Maintains inventory of AV equipment. Completes inventory on break items using the Banquet Event Order Sheets.

* Resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the guest.

* Complies with hotel's safety/security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently while protecting self, fellow workers and the hotel.

* Performs other duties as required or assigned.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Requires ability to take and give clear written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly. Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, comfortable, relaxing environment. Requires knowledge of hotel accommodations and community. Requires ability to conduct accurate inventory of food items and calculate order levels. Will be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school.

EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 6 months experience in public contact environment.

PHYSICAL SKILLS: Requires ability to walk and stand during entire work shift. Requires ability to lift 25-35 pounds intermittently during the work day, reach and stretch in routine daily work activities.
