Job Description:
Work hard, have fun and make history with the company's legal team. We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide support to the Retail Legal team. Responsibilities include research among various Amazon systems for contracts and entering the terms of the contracts in an online application.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; and take effective action without having to know the total picture. The candidate will have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organizational skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels in the company, is essential.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience reviewing and drafting the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Law degree is a plus but not required
- Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
