The Senior Manager of Clinical Products, will lead the development and management of clinical products and services that are designed to improve patient outcomes and lower overall healthcare costs through effective engagement of patients’ providers and pharmacies. This role will report directly into the Senior Director of Clinical Products for OptumRx Provider Engagement programs and lead a clinical product team.

The Senior Manager of Clinical Products will nurture and build strategic partnerships with network pharmacies to expand the range of OptumRx clinical services that may be offered to patients at their community pharmacies. This role will coordinate closely with the OptumRx network management team and represent the Clinical Product team within broader OptumRx initiatives to innovate with network pharmacy partners.Â

This role will also be accountable for a portfolio of products and services that promote the safe and effective use of controlled medications. In addition to ongoing program and performance management, the Senior Manager of Clinical Products will oversee the design and development of new solutions and product enhancements to address the abuse and/or misuse of controlled drugs.

Additional responsibilities include:
Manage product design efforts, go to market planning, ongoing product maintenance and performance management
Ensure products comply with contractual and regulatory commitments
Manage the creation and maintenance of product documentation and sales tools
Define key performance indicators used to monitor outcomes and manage product performance
Upon request, participate within PBM client and RFP presentations

Requirements
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in related field required
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within the pharmacy industry, with at least 2 years of management experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience within a managed care role (PBM, Health Plan, or related)
Understanding of retail/community pharmacy operational model
Experience leading projects and/or project teams tasked with developing new products, services or processes
Presentation experience, with client facing experience a plus.
Prior experience working with pharmacy data, including familiarity with Medispan drug classifications.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio and PowerPointÂ

Proficiency with MS Access
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
