Optum Bank is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Operations Manager who will be responsible for supervising the daily Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations within the Bank.
 
Responsible for daily operations including:


Oversee the prioritization of daily payment processes.

Own the business aspects of the ACH processing application including understanding all features and functionality of the software

Monitor compliance with NACHA rules and communicate rule changes to impacted parties

Develop, monitor, and report key operational metrics

Oversee appropriate access rights to payment systems

Drive resolution of outstanding returned payment transactions

Work with Originators and finance department in forecasting funds transfer volumes and related resource requirements.

Compile and provide documentation to support internal, SSAE16 (SOC1), and external audits and examinations
Responsible for Relationships with Payment Originators including:
 


Train Payment Originators on their ACH responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with the Originators and respond to ongoing NACHA rules questions

Oversee the communication of  ACH Returns and Notifications of Change (NOCs) to Originators and ensure Originators make timely changes
 
Responsible for leading, managing, or participating in various projects including:


Serve as the Bank’s ACH expert and the Business owner of  the ACH Processing application

Serve as the Bank’s ACH expert on various process improvement projects

Enhance and maintain the documentation of policies and procedures related to NOCs, returns and daily operations

Work with information technology resources on application improvements and daily maintenance of the ACH application

Coordinate with the Bank’s other departments and customers while implementing new ACH and depository products and enhancements

Coordinate the annual NACHA audit

Lead continuous business process improvement

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field

5+ years of experience working at a financial institution; or an equivalent combination of treasury and cash management experience and training

Strong Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications


Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designations

Experience working with a commercial ACH payment processing software

Database experience (i.e., SQL)

Solid understanding of NACHA rules

Strong project management skills

Sound business and financial acumen

Excellent communication, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Ability to navigate dynamic environment with changing priorities

Adept at learning new concepts and applying principles and best practices into problem-solving approach
