Clerical - Full-time / Part-time

McDonough, Ga  company seeks Receiving clerk.

         Pay $12/hr.

         1st shift, 7a.m,-3 p.m. Monday-Friday with some weekends

 

Duties include:

         Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

         Prepare items for shipment.

         Assemble, address, stamp and ship merchandise or material.

         Receive, unpack, verify and record incoming merchandise or material.

         Arrange for the transportation of products.

         Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.

         Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials.

         Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.

         Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as handtruck, conveyor or sorting bins.

         Pack, seal, label and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools and a postage meter.

         Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications.

         Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

         Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

 

Requirements include:

         Excellent time management skills.

         Strong decision making skills.

         Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

         Knowledge of enterprise application integration software and enterprise resource planning software a plus.

         Experience with label making software a plus.

         Experience with Microsoft Excel and word.
