In this role you will have the chance to work on high priority enterprise-wide issues and performance issues. You will also have the opportunity to discover and solve application and network performance issues using bleeding edge technology. Primary Responsibilities:

Partner with the Enterprise Architect, Development and Shared Services teams, Implementation Engineers and Product Management to develop performance plans that model client usage
Measure application and environment performance, document issues and work with the development and implementation engineers to identify solutions
Capture the requirements for production environment configuration
Generate periodic reports showing current product load and performance against predicted load and target performance goals
Troubleshoot live client issues and identify root cause
Comply with standards of the software development life cycle and Agile processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

10+ year of Network Engineering experience; experience with Lan/Wan/VPN/routing/switching technologies
5+ years of desktop and server operating systems experience such as Linux and Windows
5+ years of experience with TCP-IP stack
5+ years of experience reading/analyzing Sniffer captures with Wireshark/Opnet/Riverbed tools or equivalent tools
3+ years of knowledge of firewall/IPS technologies
5+ years of application performance troubleshooting experience in complex client/server environments
5+ years of experience in Performance Management
5+ years of experience with performance analysis and measurement of technically challenging systems
Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of Log analysis experience
Health care industry experience
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology
VMware exposure
Netscout NG1 and Infinistream console experience
APM tool knowledge with Dynatrace DCRUM and like products
Ability to work well in a geographically distributed environment with peers across the globe
