In this role as Solution Analyst, you will be a highly motivated individual with a technical background necessary for analyzing business requirements, understanding the business and commercial landscape, and determining how best IT can meet the needs of the business using IT-based systems.  You will liaison with other business units and external vendors to help understand the current state and future state of the IT landscape as well as defining the Pharmacy IT Roadmap.
 
As a Solution Analyst at UHC, you will have a great opportunity to learn cutting edge technologies.  You will be exposed across the enterprise to the major Optum RX business groups and will work with very large volumes of data.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Design Customer Solutions ­in alignment between the business strategy and the technology strategy
Engage with Solution Architects, Business Partners, Other IT areas
Thought Leadership – Provide thought leadership on Analytics solutions that benefit customers through the use of Enterprise data warehouse environment
Assist solution providers with the definition and implementation of technical and business strategies
Capture and share best-practice knowledge
Collaborate with other architects
Lead data management and reporting team to ensure delivery of a solution that meets business needs as well as aligns with target architecture
Develop subject matter expertise in pharmacy benefits management and the healthcare supply chain

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience successfully designing and implementing enterprise scale data solutions
5+ years of overall IT experience
3+ years of previous experience working as a Developer, with ETL or other development role
3+ years of experience advising customers on Solutions for both the technical and the business side
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with MPP, Relational or NOSQL databases
Demonstrated industry leadership in the fields of Database and / or Data Warehousing, Data Sciences and Big Data processing.
Hands on experience as a database, data warehouse or big data developer.
Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and the ability to apply these practices to Analytics projects
Experience with advanced analytics, predictive modeling
