Research Consultant (Market and Competitive Intelligence) - Eden Prairie, MN - Full-time / Part-time

This role is responsible for delivering high quality decision-support market and competitive intelligence to senior leaders within Optum Technology and Innovation Research & Development.  This role will be charged with designing and executing market intelligence (MI) and competitive intelligence (CI) projects with multiple stakeholders and deploying CI / MI best practices.  Working closely with the Director of Research this role will represent the Research function with senior executives and help enhance and expand the impact of CI / MI in the organization.
 
Primary Responsibilities

Delivery of forward-looking and decision-relevant insights
Design and lead MI / CI projects which deliver results under tight deadlines and have shifting priorities
Development of key competitor, market and industry profiles
Contributing to regular MI / CI industry, market and competitor updates
Ability to manage multiple projects
Responsibility for an assigned market domain, including data collection, reporting, analysis, market force identification, and future state projection
 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as business or social science
2 years of experience with competitive intelligence
Strong analytical skills, and attention to detail
Ability to take inferred information and structure an appropriate analytic approach
Experience in presenting findings to senior leaders
Ability to work independently and to take ownership of high-level projects and initiatives
Experience in completing market intelligence / competitive intelligence
