The Systems Analyst - Business Intelligence is considered a technical position and will share the responsibility to manage and maintain all database systems in production, test and development tiers, write both PLSQL and TSQL code as well as develop reports from requirements provided. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability, but should not be an exhausted list:
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Administers the Security and Performance of all SQL Server Instances

Manages all data processing from source to reporting repositories

Proactively monitors the report delivery mechanisms to ensure minimum downtime

Responsible for troubleshooting and recommending solutions related to report data availability and delivery

Implements processes for ensuring availability and high quality for the reporting needs of our customers

Responsible for documenting the data artifacts including data processing as well as report development

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Provide support to remote users

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

4+ years experience providing database administration and report development
Experience with managing MS SQL 2008/2012 RDBMS, SSIS, Reporting Services and other SQL Server related services from a Production Support level
Can write and troubleshoot TSQL and PLSQL queries
Ability to create and manage ETL packages using SSIS or other comparable ETL Tools
Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
Ability to effectively and clearly communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization, including senior management, IT, and end-users
Ability to create and manage reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, SAS or other Reporting Tools
Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of HIPAA and other IT security standards in a healthcare environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server performance tuning and SQL query optimization
Documentation skills for processes and procedures
Experience working with HADOOP and Big Data
Understanding of HIVE and its components within Big data
Previous experience with automating data processes
Experience in a healthcare environment or supporting non-technical users
