Aerotek Scientific is currently hiring a QA Technican for a food manufacturing company located in Nashville, TN.
Nature, Scope And Essential Functions Of Position:
The position consists of but is not limited to the following operations:
- Daily product inspection
- Sample collections for micro testing, co-packers, and in-house retains (holds)
- Perform product testing:
- Seal integrity testing
- Measuring water activity(Aw Testing)
- Product weight control evaluation
- Vitamin C testing
- DOD testing
- HACCP and allergen control testing
- Ensure daily scale verification is being followed
- Verify product lot codes and checkweigher settings
- Monitor Kosher/non-Kosher processes (color code) and production schedule
- QA record retention
- Observe employees and the facility for violation of GMP policies
- Keep shelf life samples organized and dispose the one expired
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Perform other duties as requested
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education equivalent to completion of High School; Associate Degree in Science preferred
- English speaking or bi-lingual
- PC proficiency in Windows based applications
- Ability to follow instruction closely and work independently with a minimum supervision
- Advanced math skills and strong organizational skills; detail oriented
- Ability to lift a minimum up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing; 1-4 years of QA/QC lab/line tech experience (This can include laboratory experience associated with obtaining science-related degree).
