About this job

This position had direct sales responsibility for developing new business and managing existing business customers for assigned accounts in the Academic-Government/Automotive/Aerospace sector.
-Identify, qualify, and develop sales revenue opportunities at new customers in the academic/government sector. Present solutions and progress opportunities through the sales cycle to close.
-Maintain existing customer relationships and secure renewal business. Identify upsell opportunities to grow revenue with these customers and present appropriate solutions.
-Develop and execute strategies and business plans to address any gap to goal on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
-Maintain and update an accurate database of all sales opportunities in Salesforce.com. Update account records, add and maintain contacts, and track all sales activity on a daily basis.
-Actively engage in customer relationship, regularly meeting with both purchasers and end users. Develop a network of contacts and influencers at each account and maintain regular touchpoints.
-Develop an expert level of understanding of all the products and service lines and serve as a subject matter expert to your customer base.
-Regularly gather and share market data and intelligence on products and customers with other internal departments such as Product, Marketing, and User Experience.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing Five Years of Business to business sales experience specifically sales in the academic sector Fluent in Microsoft Office suite of products, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
