Job Summary: 

The Industrial Staffing Manager coordinates with the Branch Manager to direct sales, industrial staffing supervision and operational functions.  He/she must understand full-life cycle recruitment at all levels and is responsible for managing every aspect of industrial/manufacturing staffing.  The Industrial Staffing Manager directly supervises and manages the Industrial Staffing Consultants and Onsite Managers, ensuring applicant traffic is generated and job orders are filled efficiently.  This is a position for an experienced staffing professional who knows how to hold people accountable, lead by example, and drive results.

Our ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience in the staffing industry, managing and supervising industrial/manufacturing staffing.

Industrial Staffing Manager Responsibilities:

 

  • Recruit, interview, onboard, hire, train, and coach industrial/manufacturing onsite managers and staffing consultants
  • Meet with HR leaders, executives, business owners, and hiring managers to set timeline, forecast needs, and determine staffing strategy
  • Prepare and present quarterly business service reviews for top clients
  • Connect with clients in person and over the phone to explore opportunities for business development and ensure service and quality standards
  • Present onsite staffing solutions; implement and transition clients to onsite staffing clients
  • Develop, implement, and track ROI of client specific and team recruiting plans to ensure a steady pipeline of qualified applicants
  • Develop and maintain local and community recruiting sources
  • Conduct facility tours to ensure safe working conditions and production requirements
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation
  • Participate in unemployment hearings, present judge with necessary information to protest claims
  • Qualify and take job orders; ensure job is fillable based on the availability of candidates and the client’s timeline

 

Industrial Staffing Manager Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years of experience managing or supervising industrial/manufacturing Staffing professionals and/or Onsite Managers in an agency setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred – will consider applicants with comparable work experience
  • Skilled in LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Monster, Indeed, Facebook, and personal and professional networking
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Applicant Tracking/CRM Software
  • Exceptional communication skills; friendly and positive demeanor; ability to interact effectively with all candidate and management levels.
