Cleveland, OH Medical Billing Company located on the west-side, is seeking several customer service, sales-minded, 3rd party Collections Specialists. This position starts on January 2, 2017, and is a Contract-to-Hire position. Hours are M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm (4 days a week), 11:00am-8:00pm (1 day a week), and 8:00am-12:00pm (4 hours, 1 Saturday a month); training schedule is M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Salary is $12.00-$14.00 an hour (based on experience), $14-16 an hour w/ commissions and benefits once hired.
Job Responsibilities:
Advise debtors of necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment.
Evaluate the nature of the debt and take appropriate steps to resolve while abiding by FDCPA, FDRA, and HIPAA.
Meet and exceed monthly individual goals.
Meet and exceed monthly productivity standards (150 calls per day, 3 payments by phone per day, and 2.5 hours talk time per day).
Arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on consumers' financial situations.
Perform follow up practices on accounts.
Make outbound and accept inbound calls as well as participate in call campaigns as requested.
Work with the consumers on necessary actions and strategies for debt repayment.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
General knowledge of health insurance and billing practices (HIPPA).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Strong understanding of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations.
Proficiency with using the Flexible Automated Collection System software.
Must be self motivated and goal oriented.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
