The Instructional Design Manager designs, develops, evaluates, and adjusts solutions to identified Learning and Development needs for global leaders across TJX. Leveraging project management skills, they act as a resource for and take ownership of internal and external programs and materials. They partner with global and divisional L&D teams and subject matter experts to gather and consolidate their feedback to create global leadership development solutions, using adult learning theory and accelerated learning techniques. They serve as the main point of contact for the divisions in their local pilots and tests of the global learning solutions, leading all logistics and coordination efforts. Creates consistent messaging and materials to educate HRBPs and Business leaders about global learning solutions. They use influence to gain alignment on global learning solutions and provide feedback to peers and leaders to ensure adherence to globally agreed upon standards for course content and delivery. Manages the master trainer certification program for global learning solutions; including acting as a vendor liaison, documenting and tracking certification, and partner with divisions to ensure best quality delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Partners with global Manager of Instructional Design & Development as well as global learning teams to conduct needs analysis to determine learning needs and objectives for the audience group being supported.
  • Gathers, consolidates, and analyses divisional feedback on training materials in development. Gives recommendations and solutions to gain global agreement and alignment on course content.
  • Provides direction and feedback to vendors to ensure expectations of deliverables are met
  • Organizes, maintains, and documents materials version control for TJX global leadership development courses and programs including library on LMS and SharePoint for divisions to access.
  • Partners with Learning Technology to ensure technical compatibility of courseware launched or housed in the LMS.
  • Provides oversight of the testing of leadership development courses; including managing and preparing vendors, understanding divisional requirements and analysis and resolving feedback from test classes.
  • Manage progress of trainers obtaining their Trainer and/or Master Certification requirements.
  • Oversees the ongoing evaluation process for global learning solutions. Ensures evaluation mechanisms are in place to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs/materials. Reports, analyzes, and shares evaluation feedback and recommendations for improvement with appropriate global learning partners.
  • Conducts periodic observation of courses and content review to ensure vendors agreements are upheld and global standards are maintained.
  • Delivers feedback to global partners and peers to ensure adherence to global agreements, content and delivery standards.
  • Tracks budget supporting the project management, design, development, and testing of global leadership courses and programs. Creates and reports on training program budget, as appropriate.

  • Analyzes feedback on training deliverables in development and presents recommendations to Manager of Instructional Design & Development
  • Analyzes learning evaluation results and presents recommendations to global governance team

Minimum formal education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education or related field; or equivalent experience
